Industry Experience

Rubicon Instructors have over 125 years of combined instructing experience with major airlines. They have also served as technicians, maintenance controllers, inspectors, and course designers. They all have A&P licenses. They have taught aircraft systems, avionics, ETOPS, composite and metal structures repair, and Human Factors, in the U.S. and all over the world.

Rubicon was founded in 2006 by Richard D’Loss, who himself has been an aviation maintenance and training professional since 1975. Rubicon has been training FAA Airworthiness Inspectors since 2009 and has trained hundreds of commercial aircraft technicians and inspectors.

New FAA contract includes Q400

Bombardier Q400

The FAA has awarded Rubicon a new contract for airworthiness inspector training. This contract covers 13 aircraft types and supplements an existing contract covering 8 aircraft types. The new contract includes the most commonly operated Boeing and Airbus models, including the B777 and A320, but in addition includes the Bombardier Q400 and Dash 8 aircraft. This marks Rubicon’s first entry into turboprop aircraft training and further enhances its relationship with Jazz Aviation in Canada.
